Sprague Rappaport Stethoscopes

The MDF® Sprague Rappaport Stethoscope is five stethoscopes in one for a full range of diagnostic applications and is traditionally trusted to detect faint heart sounds and murmurs. This classic design allows healthcare professionals to assess adult, pediatric, and infant patients using just one stethoscope.

A Sprague Rappaport Stethoscope is different in that it features dual exposed tubing. The Sprague stethoscope also comes with an interchangeable chestpiece with two diaphragm attachments for adult and pediatric/infant patients, as well as three bell attachments for adult, pediatric and infant patients.

Dual stethoscope tubing is considered to enhance sound quality by providing a separate sound channel from the chestpiece into each ear so that sound is split only at the source, where it’s strongest. MDF® Sprague stethoscopes also feature a dual input chestpiece to further direct sound on a single path.

MDF® cardiology stethoscopes feature our innovative C34 tubing that is designed as a single tube to eliminate the possibility of noise interference with exposed dual tubing, and has 34 sound channels etched into the inner wall of the tubing. Taking the engineering principles used in concert halls, C34 tubing directs clear and precise sound waves from your patient to your ears.
